Ang Agosto ay Buwan ng Wika na itinatag ni Manuel L. Quezon noong 1936. Kaugnay nito ipinagdiwang ng Silid-Aklatang Pangkolehiyo ng Unibersidad ng San Luis ang kahalagahan ng ating wikang pambansa sa temang : “Filipino: Wikang Pagkakaisa” noong Ika-27 ng Agosto, 2014. Idinaos ang pagdiriwang sa pangalawang palapag ng gusaling Teophiel Verbist, alas- tres ng hapon sa pangunnguna ni Daisy Q. Dagdag, Filipiniana Librarian ng nasabing unibersidad.
In celebration of the Nutrition Month, the Health Sciences Section through its Section Head, Ms. Ma. Theresa Bautista spearheaded a “Health Quiz” held at the 3rd Floor of the College Library on July 31, 2014 at 3:00 in the afternoon. Such activity aimed to improve the availability and dissemination of health-related information, to increase awareness of students on the collections of the library and to promote access to the collections for quality health.
Mrs. Juliet Villanueva, College Library Head motivated the contenders through her words of welcome, while the Director of Libraries, Mrs. Venus Guyos strongly talked about strengthening love for books, reading and libraries.
Prior to the quiz, Quiz Masters Onofre Unciano and Theresa Bautista presented the mechanics to the contenders. There were 20 easy questions and 20 difficult questions asked. Winning teams were ranked first, second and third. Prizes and certificates were awarded to them.

On July 28, 2014 the University of Saint Louis College Library conducted live viewing of the State of the Nation Address of President Benigno Aquino III. The activity was commended by the Louisian community. Approximately there were fifty students participated in the activity conducted by the library. The students were very attentive during the speech of the President and jot down important details from his SONA.
Truly, the library does not only provide information through its library resources but it is also an avenue for Louisians to be updated with the current issues in our government and in our country as well.
The fifth SONA of the President highlighted the accomplishments of various departments of the government and the results of the President’s promises during the SONA 2013. SONA 2014 in general was on the different aspects of the nation - economy, jobs, asset reform, education, sports, government and ethics, health and environment, tourism, justice, urban poor, issues in Mindanao, foreign affairs and national security.Page 51 of 66
