Bookworm Scrabble Game

On February 5, 2026, the Elementary Library conducted the activity “Bookworm Scrabble Game ft. Book Titles” for Grades 4–6 pupils. The activity is engaging and interactive, providing pupils with opportunities to develop critical thinking and problem-solving skills. The activity was facilitated by Mr. Jerry O. Geronimo, the BLIS Interns from CSU–Carig Campus, under the guidance of Mrs. Jennelyn D. Asuncion and Mrs. Olivia L. Yadao.

The objectives of the activity were:
• To enhance pupils' familiarity with various book titles and strengthen their recognition skills by challenging them to decipher scrambled book titles, thereby promoting engagement, critical thinking, and enthusiasm for reading.
• To help pupils recognize widely known children’s book titles and motivate their interest in reading.
• To improve the spelling abilities of pupils in recognizing the correct letter sequences in jumbled words.

Storyline and Cover Match-Up Challenge

The Elementary Library successfully conducted an engaging activity, “Storyline and Cover Match-Up Challenge,” on January 22, 2026, with Grades 1–3 pupils as participants. The activity was designed to provide pupils with an enjoyable and meaningful learning experience through interactive reading and guessing activities that encouraged critical thinking and memory recall.

The activity was facilitated by the BLIS Interns from CSU–Carig Campus and St. Joseph Baggao, who ensured its smooth flow and actively encouraged pupil participation. It was assisted by the Book Club Officers and conducted under the guidance of Mrs. Jennelyn D. Asuncion and Mrs. Olivia L. Yadao.

The objectives of the activity were:
• To strengthen pupils’ short-term and long-term memory by recalling story lines, it’s cover book image through fun and interactive reading and guessing activities.
• To motivate pupils to develop reading habits and explore more stories.
