The University Libraries was nominated for the 2010 Outstanding Academic and Research Library Award and the Director of Libraries, Mr. Michael A. Pinto for the 2010 Outstanding Academic Librarian Award by the Philippine Association of Academic and Research Librarian (PAARL). The said awards are given to libraries who meet more than the specified standards and excellent service and resources that support research. The outstanding librarian award on the other hand is given librarians who have made distinctive performance in the field on librarianship. The result of the awards will be announced this year.
