JHS Library Spearheads Bibliotherapy
The USL Junior High School Library conducted Bibliotherapy Talk among the JHS students via Google meet on On February 19, 2021, Mr. Jenikko L. Quinto, JHS Guidance Head, graced the event as speaker. He discussed the benefits of Bibliotherapy and the healing power of written words. The objectives of the activity were:
1. To harness books' power to help students deal with behavioral, emotional, and social issues in practice known as Bibliotherapy.
2. To show students that they are not the first or only person to encounter such a problem and there is more than one solution to a problem.
3. To relieve emotional or mental pressure, especially this time of COVID-19 pandemic.
Forty-eight (48) students from Grades 7-10 and some librarians participated the activity. The participants appreciated the essence of Bibliotherapy and generally rated as Excellent.
