College Library Intensive Orientation

The College Library successfully conducted the Freshmen College Intensive Orientation for first-year students this September 2025. The activity aimed to familiarize students with the library’s resources, services, and facilities, as well as to promote information literacy and responsible library use.

The orientation sessions were scheduled as follows: September 12, 2025 for the School of Architecture, Computing, and Engineering (SACE), September 19, 2025 for the School of Accountancy, Business, and Hospitality (SABH), and September 26, 2025 at 10:30 AM for the School of Health and Allied Sciences (SHAS) and the School of Education, Criminology, Arts, and Psychology (SECAP).

Each session was led by the Virtual Librarians, who guided the students through an overview of library policies, online resources, and research tools such as Grammarly and Turnitin. The program was conducted under the supervision of the College Library Head and the Director of Libraries, ensuring that the orientations aligned with the university’s goal of promoting academic excellence through effective library utilization.

The orientations concluded successfully, with students expressing appreciation for the informative and interactive sessions that prepared them to maximize the use of library resources throughout their academic journey.
