The Junior High School Library successfully conducted an educational activity entitled “WHEEL YOU ANSWER?” on September 2-3 and 7, 2026. The activity was spearheaded by Mrs. Gladys R. Molina and Ms. Hanna Lee Erro, BES Librarians, and was designed to encourage students to utilize library resources and services through an engaging and interactive question-and-answer challenge.

The activity was open to Junior High School students, who participated individually. To join the activity, participants were required to locate at least one hidden ticket inside the library and present it to the facilitators before proceeding to the challenge. Participants then spun the wheel and answered questions from various categories and levels of difficulty.

Through this activity, students were given an opportunity to demonstrate and enhance their general knowledge, critical-thinking skills, reasoning, recall, problem-solving abilities, and confidence while actively participating in a meaningful library program. The activity also provided an avenue for students to apply their knowledge in an enjoyable learning environment beyond the traditional classroom setting.

On September 8–10, 2026, the BES Elementary Library conducted an activity entitled “Big Screen Adventure,” a movie marathon designed to promote the library as a welcoming space for learning, recreation, and meaningful student engagement. The activity aimed to provide pupils with an enjoyable and meaningful movie-viewing experience while encouraging them to make positive and productive use of their free time.

The activity was conducted during peak hours to allow pupils to participate during their available free time. Selected age-appropriate and meaningful films were shown in the library, providing pupils with an opportunity to relax, enjoy, and learn in a comfortable and welcoming environment. The movie marathon also encouraged pupils to view the library not only as a place for reading and academic activities but also as a space for recreation, interaction, and positive engagement.

The Big Screen Adventure was facilitated by the BLIS Interns from Cagayan State University–Carig Campus, under the guidance and supervision of Mrs. Jennelyn D. Asuncion and Mrs. Olivia L. Yadao.

The activity received a positive response from the pupils. Based on the evaluation conducted after the activity, It obtained an overall mean rating of 3.90, interpreted as “Strongly Agree.” This result reflects the pupils’ favorable perception of the activity and indicates that the movie marathon successfully provided an enjoyable and meaningful experience.

On August 27, 2026, the BES Elementary Library conducted an activity entitled “My Reading Slogan: Color and Decorate” for the Kindergarten pupils. The activity was designed to develop the pupils’ interest in reading by helping them appreciate a positive reading slogan while giving them an opportunity to express their creativity through coloring and decorating.


During the activity, the pupils were provided with the reading slogan “Read Every Day.” They were encouraged to color and decorate the slogan using their own creative ideas. They were also allowed to add drawings related to books, reading, and the library. The activity provided the pupils with an enjoyable and meaningful way to express themselves while developing their creativity and fine motor skills. The activity also aimed to foster a positive attitude toward reading and encourage the pupils to appreciate the library at an early age. The Kindergarten pupils actively participated and showed enthusiasm as they worked on their designs. The activity was facilitated by the BLIS Interns from Cagayan State University–Carig Campus, under the guidance and supervision of Mrs. Jennelyn D. Asuncion and Mrs. Olivia L. Yadao. The facilitators provided instructions and assistance to the pupils throughout the activity.
