JHS Library Wraps Up Science Month with Sci-Fi Movie Marathon

In celebration of the Science month, the Junior High School Library lead by the JHS Internet Library and AVRs In-charge, Mr. Alladin Desamito conducted a Science-Fiction Movie Marathon on September 25-29, 2017. The objective of the activity is to highlight Science arts by letting the students watch Science fiction movies. The movies were played during recess time, lunch break and after classes in the afternoon. The JHS Library was filled with students as they enjoy watching and learning from the movies. Finding Bookie Opens Up JHS Library Monthly Activities

The Junior High School Library, in partnership with the Book Club launched its monthly library activities for School Year 2017-2018 with a contest entitled “Finding Bookie”. The objectives of the activity were to develop a strong sense of camaraderie among the Book Club members as well as to strengthen the bond between them. The activity was spearheaded by the Junior High School Library Head, Mrs. Michelle A. Abella together with the Book Club Officers lead by its President, Ms. Geiki Dayag on September 27, 2017 at the Junior High School Library. It was participated in by the Book Club members, five of them for each of the five groups. In this activity, selected words were to be located by the participants from a pool of books. The first group to finish finding the books containing all the words, wins. The participants had fun with the activity and they were able to meet new friends from their own club.

3rd Re-Deployment of USL Book Mobile

The University of Saint Louis Libraries has once again successfully re-deployed the Book Mobile Project at Magalallag Day Care Center Magalallag, Enrile on August 31, 2017.

The third redeployment was spearheaded by the Technical Section Head, Ms. Alma Gacias together with the participation of two (2) library staff: Maria Theresa Bautista, Health and Allied Sciences and Graduate School In-Charge and the Bryan Jay David, Circulation In-Charge in cooperation with the BLIS students.

The group facilitated various activities such story telling fiesta, nursery rhymes and coloring.

The reading materials will stay in the said center for two (2) months in order to maximize the use of materials.
