LibDentity

The USL Elementary Library has conducted LibDentity on March 24,2023 at the Elementary Library. The said activity aims to :
1) promote the use of Biography and Filipiniana collection.;
2) help pupils boost their confidence in showing their talent thru photography;
3) give inspiration in the celebration of women's month.
The activity was facilitated by Ms. Ana Aura Uy (Elementary Library Head) and Ms. Angelica Cauilan (Reader's and Technical Services Librarian). Pupils from Grades 4-6 participated in the said activity: The following emerged as champions:

1st Kirsten Gayle C. Miranda Gr. 4- Jasmine
2nd Denniel Zyrille S. Barroga Gr. 6-Tulips
3rd Kaye Chrystal T. Alfonso Gr.5-Marigold

The activity was evaluated by the partipants generally as STRONGLY AGREE which means, it's an effective learning activity.
Certificates of Recognition, prizes and books were awarded to the top 3 winner.
Books and certificates of participation were also given to all participants as a gesture of appreciation.

Junior High School Library and Book Club Conducted Making Dewey Fun

The Junior High School Library in collaboration with the Book Club had conducted Making Dewey Fun! contest to the Grade 7 students.
The activity was spearheaded by Mrs. Gladys Molina, Technical Services Librarian with the help of the Readers’ Services Librarian and some student assistants. It was conducted on March 3, 2023 at 4:00-5:00 PM at the JHS Library.The contest aimed to
1.) let students deepen their appreciation of the system of arranging and organizing books in the library;
2.) engage students in learning more about the system by exposing them to arrange books in a particular subject area; and
3.) to challenge their memory on how far they have learned about the DDC during their LIFP session. Overall, the rating for the activity was Agree.
