University Libraries, University of Saint Louis

BRIEF HISTORY

The operation of the Grade School Library commenced in in 1998, the same year that the Grade School Department started to provide juvenile education.

Counting methodically the years that have passed, the Library has weathered a lot of location and structural changes already. In addition, it has gone through different hands and minds of people who took charge of it; some were professional librarians, unfortunately, some were not. In spite of all these twists, the Grade School Library remained strong and true in its desire to provide satisfaction for the intellectual needs of its users.

At present, the library is built-in the three-storey Constant Jurgens building. It is located on the ground floor. It has three divisions: the Library, the Sunk Bay for the Preparatory, and the Audio-Visual Room. It is fully air-conditioned, providing a conducive reading and research atmosphere to its users
