The Junior High School Library and Book Club had their activity on Information Hunting featuring newspapers which started on January 9, 2023 and ended on January 27, 2023 at the Junior High School library at 4:00-5:00 PM. Mrs. Jennelyn D. Asuncion, Readers Services Librarian spearheaded the activity. The activity aimed to:
1.) improve the utilization of newspapers for both print and online through Pressreader;
2.) assess students’ awareness of current events
3.) improve students’ general knowledge; and
4.) improve language skills and vocabulary. The experience from the quiz bee had given much joy and a lot of learnings to those who participated.
The library is a fantastic place to gain innovative knowledge and interesting experiences through the various resources available. Congratulations to the winners and to all of the contestants!
